Big Qualicum Fish Hatchery The Big Qualicum Fish Hatchery is located on River Road in Qualicum Bay. At the hatchery explore nature trails through colorful deciduous forests, look for salmon jumping in the spawning channels and get an up close look at the fish in the underground viewing areas. Looking for a longer walk? Check out the

Big Qualicum Regional Trail, which follows the 10km long hatchery service road alongside the river.

Fall leaves, spawning salmon, birds and other wildlife, and countless types of mushrooms can be seen. Start your adventure at the Top Bridge Crossing – a spectacular pedestrian & cycling suspension bridge across the Englishman River.

 

 

 

 

QualicumDowntown Parksville & Qualicum Beach As fall sets in the carefully manicured gardens and tree- lined streets of Qualicum Beach change to brilliant shades of gold and red. In Parksville wander along Memorial Avenue amongst the giant elm trees- each was planted to commemorate the death of a local soldier who died in WW1. While in town stop by one of our cozy coffee shops  to enjoy that pumpkin spice latte. There are so many great ways to enjoy fall in Parksville Qualicum Beach – what’s yours?
