 We will advocate for residents on issues that affect their quality of life and well being.

We will work with and advise local governments while monitoring activities and decisions that affect this place we call home.”

The Chemainus Residents Association’s AGM.

The Chemainus Residents’ Association will hold its 2019 Annual General Meeting June 3rd, starting at 6 pm at St. Michaels Anglican Church hall, Mill Street, Chemainus (doors will open at 5:30 pm). As well as reports on the past year’s activities and finances, there will be nominations and election of board members, and Q&A time for members and the public.

There will also be presentations to the meeting about:

Emergency Preparedness, by Sybille Sanderson, District Emergency Programs Coordinator with the Cowichan Valley Regional District (see story below);

A Climate Action and Energy Plan for North Cowichan, by Councillor Kate Marsh. She will talk about steps that will be taken by the municipality, including the hiring of a staff person to coordinate initiatives.
